The second in my Poe Valley series which will feature caches easily accessible in an area near and dear to my heart. Caches that will not require long hikes, brush busting or a whole lot of muggle dodging, but will get you into the beautiful environs of Bald Eagle State Forest in Central Pennsylvania.
Enjoy the ride through the Bald Eagle Forest to this cache which is easily reachable alongside the road, but might need a little searching. It is located between the bridges over Poe Creek and Little Poe Creek; where they join and begin their flow to Penn's Creek at Poe Paddy state camping area.
In the spring a few trout-fishing muggles may be around, but most of the time the only muggles will be campers headed to Poe Paddy.
The cache is "small", but big enough for tradables and is on the ground. No wading or brush-busting necessary. A typical hide.
A small reward for the "first-finder."
A cautionary note. This cache is located along a DCNR (Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources) road that has no winter maintenance. So use caution if hunting this cache in the winter. Four wheel drive highly recommended. A good cache for snowmobilers.
