This is a do anywhere cache. The coordinates above are for the
memorial to firefighters that I found.
To log this cache, find a memorial to firefighters in your area.
Take a picture of it along with your GPS to show that your visit is
current. Post your pictures and coordinates when you log your
visit. Also tell a little bit about the firefighters honored. You
can also visit the same memorial I found, or any of the others that
get logged here, you just can't log a "find". The other normal
locationless cache rule also applies - only one logged "find" per
'cacher. Please take a moment while at the memorial you visit to
appreciate the dedication of those that have been honored and those
that continue to risk their lives fighting fires.
The memorial at these coordinates is dedicated to the memory of
Gene Campbell 57, Dave Noel 35, and Dwight Hodgkinson 23. The lost
their lives when the Cart Creek wild fire of 1977 trapped them
after a sudden intensification of wind. The fire eventually burned
1,480 acres of forest.
