The entire hike is not too long (approximately half mile round trip). As you are traveling make sure that you travel quietly, as you may be able to hear coyotes howling or owls calling. Also make sure you look up on clear nights as the view of the stars is not to be missed.
To start the cache make sure you bring a bright flashlight with new batteries. The brighter the flashlight the better as you may have problems picking up the tacks with a dim one. The tacks are on the right side of the trail to help you. They are all placed from 6- 8 feet high and should not be too difficult to spot.100 feet past the 3 tacks on both sides of the trail you will find a HCH container. For those who think they can complete this cache during the day we had problems finding the reflectors in daylight and we knew what trees they were on.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
