Geocache Description:

Each year we invite the worldwide geocaching community to join us in Seattle for the Geocaching Block Party. No matter how long you’ve been geocaching—and even if you’ve never even heard of geocaching—there are plenty of fun events, delicious food, interactive exhibits and vendors.


The main event takes place on Saturday, August 15, from 11am to 5pm, but the fun lasts all weekend with events like the Geocaching International Film Festival on Friday and the Washington State Geocaching Association’s Going APE Mega-Event on Sunday.

ITINERARY
While the main event is on Saturday, the celebration takes place all weekend—not to mention any down time can be spent finding some of Seattle’s amazing geocaches.

If you’ve never been to Seattle, there are plenty of must-sees. Let this adventure guide you to all the best spots in the Emerald City. (More info)

1:30 PM - The Adventures of Trackables & Geocoins: Learn the history and adventures of Geocoins, Travel Bugs and other trackables with the Geocoin inventor himself, Moun10bike.

2:00 PM - Share Your Geocaching Stories with CacherAudio.com: Wade and Adam from CacherAudio.com want to hear and record your stories for an upcoming podcast on the Main Stage.

3:00 PM - Reviewer Panel: Ask the reviewers questions, get their opinions on geocaching issues and put faces to the community volunteers at this panel hosted by Geocaching HQ’s LutherNation.

4:30 PM - Meet Signal and Geocaching HQ’ers: The official Geocaching mascot, Signal the Frog, along with several Geocaching HQ staff, will be on the main stage to meet geocachers, take photos and give plenty of high-fives.

4:45 PM - Closing Statements: Join us as Jeremy Irish and Bryan Roth, two of the founders of Geocaching.com, wrap up Geocaching Block Party 2015.

Geocaching International Film Festival (GC5K6WQ)
Kick back on the soft grass of Seattle’s beautiful Gas Works Park and watch geocaching films from around the world.
When: Friday, August 14, 2015 from 8pm to 10pm

WSGA’s Going APE Mega-Event (GC5F58Q)
On Sunday, head to WSGA’s Going APE Mega-Event . Aside from rubbing elbows with many of the Pacific Northwest’s geocachers, you’ll also be able to walk through the spooky 2-mile-long tunnel of light, find one of Washington’s oldest geocaches and visit the APE tribute geocache. Plus, you’ll also earn a unique souvenir for your geocaching profile.

HQ GeoTour
Enjoy “The Geocacher’s Guide to the Center of Our Universe.” Created for the 2013 Geocaching Block Party by Geocaching HQ employees, this GeoTour takes you to our favorite spots in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. The geocaches are within walking distance and are available year-round. Note: HQ GeoTour Passports and final stamps are available at the welcome tent the day of the main event.
