TAPHOPHILE CHALLENGE
“ Cemetery Enthusiast, Cemetery Tourists or Grave Hunter ”
Taphophile describes an individual who has a passion for and enjoyment of cemeteries. Cemetery tourists can be interested in the historical aspects of cemeteries or the historical relevance of its inhabitants. This sometimes involves epitaphs, gravestone rubbing, photograph, art, history of (famous) deaths and Geocaching. (OK, we added the last one).
One of our favorites is Historic Congressional Cemetery. It is a 35 acre historic yet
active burial ground located on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. www.congressionalcemetery.org
This is a multi-use Cemetery. They promote Beekeeping, Outdoor Yoga Mortis,
Tombs and Tomes Book Club, 5K Races, Grazing Goats, and Unleashed Dog Park.

There are two caches in the cemetery:
GCQYTG The Silent City
GC23GKB SSB – Congressional Cemetery
The Cache is at the posted coordinates
BUT
You must complete the challenge before you log a find
The requirements for finding this cache are that you must first FIND 30 cemetery caches.
The 30 caches must meet the following criteria.
You may sign this challenge’s physical log at any time.
However, this challenge cache may be logged as found online ONLY after
the log is signed and the challenge tasks have been met and documented.

In your log Include GC number and the name of the cache

Post a PUBLIC bookmark of your qualifying finds

The difficulty rating is for gathering your caches, not the actual cache.
It will take you longer to search through your list of finds then it will to actually find the cache.
