A long time ago, the Great Forest was uninhabited and filled only with sounds of howling winds and creaking trees. At that time one of the Ancient Spirits had a ridiculous idea: he wanted to hide a treasure.
The Spirit gathered several stones, blessed them and unrolled them into the shape of a circle. It was the holy ground, Six Sacred Stones. In the middle he placed the treasure.
Granted with marvellous gifts, the spirit sang out a magical chant. Dirt started to fly out of nowhere and the treasure was covered slowly, layer by layer, with a shell. It was a shell of pure rock, and the result looked just like any other stone in the Great Forest. The Spirit was pleased; that'll do. And with a kick sent the stone rolling.
Kauan aikaa sitten, kun Suuri Metsä oli asuttamaton, ja vain ulvovat tuulet ja narisevat puut rikkoivat hiljaisuutta. Silloin yksi Ikivanhoista Hengistä sai hassunhauskan idean: hän halusi piilottaa aarteen.
Henki keräsi muutamia kiviä kasaan, siunasi ne ja levitti maahan ympyrän muotoon. Maamerkiksi se syntyi, Kuusi Pyhää Kiveä. Keskelle hän asetti aarteensa.
Ihmeellisillä lahjoilla siunattuna, henki puhisi ilmoille maagisen laulun. Hiekka pöllysi ympäriinsä ja aarre peittyi hiljalleen, kerros kerrokselta, ja sai päällensä kuoren. Tämä kuori oli puhdasta graniittia, ja lopputulos näytti aivan tavalliselta kiveltä Suuressa Metsässä. Henki oli tyytyväinen; siinäpä se. Ja potkaisi kiven pyörimään.
