The nominal time for the event will be noon on Saturday 14th February 2015.
Although day visitors can be accommodated, the preferred option would be to stay at the lodge for one, two or three nights.
The lodge will be available for our use from 4pm Friday night until 10am Monday morning and the donation to the club to cover accommodation will be $25 per person per night.
We will need to bring our own food and drinks, however the Supermarket is very close by and open from 8am to 9pm, and 8pm on Sunday.
The lodge has a very well equipped kitchen and an industrial dish washer. There is also a laundry and generally, everything we need.
The club supplies all bedding except sheets and pillow cases, so you need to bring those, or sleeping bags if you'd prefer. You'll also need to bring towels and you may like to bring a bath mat too.
Summer activities at Mount Buller include hiking, mountain bike riding, tennis, and of course, there are a quite a few geocaches within hiking distance.
Children are welcome but will need to be supervised by their parents.
Caravans are not permitted past Mirimbah at the foot of the mountain.
Further information will be added closer to the event.
We have accommodation for about 36 people accommodated in 9 rooms of varying configurations. Full details will be added later as some of the bunk arrangements will be modified slightly over summer, to replace a couple of over/under bunks with a double bed and a single bunk on top, to better accommodate families.
However there are 6 rooms with well organised share facilities and 3 rooms with en suites.
More information about the lodge is available at the club web site.
When you log your intention to attend, please indicate if possible, if you will be a day attendee, or which nights you would like to stay. Also list any preferences or special requirements to assist with room allocation.
There will be a prize draw at 5pm Saturday after the day's caching has concluded. Any winners who were day visitors and not still in attendance will get their prize after the event.
