For several years, geocachers have met here, courtesy of LSUFan, to watch the Twin Cities Krewe of Janus parade. This year we are making it an official event, part of the 2015 Mardi Gras Multi Event. Dress to stay warm for an outdoor evening of hot dogs & hot chocolate, swag-collecting, & story telling. We'll gather at our usual spot, N32 29.848 W092 07.960, which is in front of Twin City Supplies, near the intersection of North 8th St. & Natchitoches St. in West Monroe, beginning around 3 p.m. (parade starts at 6:30 p.m.) Come early for limited nearby parking. Optional parking will be at N32 30.140 W092 08.160, which is 7 blocks away, at a vacant lot next to my home (I'll provide shuttle service in my vehicle). Bring your lawn chair; we'll provide space heaters & (ahem) a PortaPotty.
