Organic Levee Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

LeewayeDiscGolf: This entire area has been drastically changed since the cache was hidden by huge floods, multiple fires, homeless invasions, mountains of trash, and construction. I'm archiving all 3 of my caches back here.
The giant concrete slab with the pipe in it that the cache was hidden in is gone. Either bulldozed over the edge or added to the massive stack out in Fountain Creek. The entire area around GZ is construction headquarters and the staging ground for all the Fountain Creek and bridge work. The old two-track road is now a giant county road. Crazily enough, all that remains of this cache is the namesake. The old steel with the bark growing around it remains right where it has always been.
Thanks to everyone that found and enjoyed these caches. I tried to bring you to an area rarely explored, unfortunately it just isn't safe anymore.

Geocache Description:

Parking is available on 40th. There is a round-about. Short walk down the levee trail. Watch animals and children near the water's edge. Ensure cache is hidden well before leaving. There are rocks under the cache, leave them there please, they prevent it from going completely underneath.

Cache was placed as a way to bring people to this neat tree. Notice the tree is growing around and on the steel. Thus the name Organic Levee. Cache is very close, but not actually on the tree.

Congrats to kyotmoon and SugarPug on FTF!
