Geocache Description:

The eighth in the series, question is can you keep track or will you wander in the tubes of tribulation?

The news is true, He's Back! Grumpy has reopened the shop and this is the eigth of the series of new caches "The Best of Baradam". With that theme in place we started with a micro, kind of a micro just to remind everyone of those day however we'll try and we've broken it up but we're back to moving a micro but the cache is much larger. BUT it isn't the container that will baffle you but the technique in which it takes to retrieve the little devil.

Yep, if you have done the others this is not the same, garranteed. Oh, I just love the old "BYOP" yep a typical. Remember this series is kid friendly but no swearing.... The trees have delicate leaves you know. These are all gadget puzzle caches and don't expect to swope and run, 20 minutes to 1hour on this one and you will not be disappointed unless you loose track of your traveller.

As you'll see the shop is open and the creative juices are flowing, though there will be no flushing this one. The only question is "How do you get it out?" Don't expect any relief from Grumpy's grip on this one. Yep, you have the container in your hand but that baby is on the run and the correct solution is just a cap turn away. Please set everything back to where you found it and close the cap the captive behind entry gate..

"Follow the Arrows"arrow

Oh, no problem finding the container on this one, "So, What's that Goof Ball BA got up his sleeve now?"

So, let's see. If your the adventurous type you can leap off the page and get a running start. First, are the arrows a ruse, humm? Humm is for sure. Any guess at this point? Nope, Yes, your more than welcome to start now, after the cache HI HO, off we go....

Now the more respectful of baradam caches, one may want to ponder a few more subtle lines of type.

  • Yes, the cache is straight forward and hopefully you find the traveller at the starting point. Also, make sure the traveler clears the insert baffle, a pencil maybe needed to get it sideways..
  • The secret to this cache is "Don't loose track of where you are." Once you enter the tubular abyss you'll need a sound ear. It will be lots of curves and the container is going to dance like a leaf as you direct the traveller through it's journey. Yes, some of the baffles are close at turns and others not.  (There is absolutely no reason striking the container, hard will break it. Gentle pop with your hand will release it.) Ye Haw as you slide to the end so, keep it tight as you guide the traveller. Nope, no short cuts or back doors to the start. If you go back you dipped when you should have lifted. Remember some corners are dead ends and other you'll slide on past to another corner which is baffled.
  • The arrows are the route. I was going to remove them by putting a coat of paint but this would have been a monster. So, use the reference however if you are beyond the visual aid take a go at it without, "No snivelling in the end."
  • Warning, the orange zone will suck you under. I lost the traveller several times here so keep close tab on him/her as she can turn into a run way. 1/2 way through is the trouble, if the traveler turns sideway at the dead end there will be no noise and seem jammed.
  • Best to not to rattle this cache, hearing is the key or the next sound you will here are from where you were...
  • If after 30 minutes check your reserve patients tank, your moving to fast, the cache can be done in less than 5 minutes.
    1. Look up at the Arrows
    2. Move Slowly
    3. Make Sure not to pass the turn
    4. Not all turns are baffled but lead to dead ends
    5. This takes me less than 1 1/2 minutes, Shortest time 45 seconds
    6. #1 rule go slow and keep track of traveler.

At this point you know where to start and you know where to exit. Happy caching and hope you enjoyed another gadget cache. As with all gadget caches they can be fun but you must expect a challenge. This one is lots of fun and best with two people.

Put everything back after signing the log. Also, make sure the traveler clears the insert baffle, a pen or pencil maybe needed to get it sideways so it rattles... Also, if things go wrong email for a hint or if it needs repair let me know.
