This geocache pays homage to the local legend of the Hillbilly Beast, a terrifying creature that lurks these lands.

The decoder for the cache is as follows:
H=1 A=2 T=3 F=4 I=5 E=6 L=7 D=8 M=9 C=0

Lurking in the hills of Eastern Kentucky is a very large hairy creature. He stands about 8-10 feet tall. He has been seen throughout Eastern Kentucky and Southern West Virginia. Please note when a cacher intrudes upon his territory, he can become very aggressive. This creature has been reported to have turned over a van when aggravated. The Hillbilly Beast has dark colored hair and has dark eyes. His eyes appear a glowing yellow color when exposed to light. When angry, Hillbilly Beasts throw rocks and knock trees with branches. They have a loud howl and make grunting noises. It is also reported that Hillbilly Beasts love fresh fruit. The legend has never been proven....Yet!!!

There was a recent sighting near Williamson West Virginia so this gave us an idea to verify the legend. If you encounter the Hillbilly Beast while visiting this cache, please use caution as he probably is not going to be in a very good mood.

You must sign the logbook to get credit for the find. If you need help accessing the log book, please check out the hint and do not force anything. There is no need.

Certain pieces of this cache are fragile so please be careful. There is no need to force anything and please return everything as found so the next cacher can enjoy the adventure.
