Advanced Geocaching Workshops |
So you've been caching for a few weeks, months, or years now. And you would like to learn some of the more advanced ways to plan your geocache hunts. During this afternoon of workshops, we hope to get you on the trail faster with more caches in your sights. We will also speed up your logging and help you develop cool caching statistics for your profile.
We'll meet:
Saturday, March 14th
1:00pm - 5:00pm
Tualatin Public Library
18880 SW Martinazzi Ave
Tualatin, OR 97062
(503) 692-2000
I thought I'd try a different sort of class this time. Instead of one long session, we will break the afternoon up into four 50-minute sessions. You can come and stay all afternoon or just catch us for one or two of the workshops.
The workshops will cover:
1:00 - 1:50 pm |
Pocket Queries and Bookmarks |
2:00 - 2:50 pm |
Introduction to GSAK and Downloading Geocaches |
3:00 - 3:50 pm |
Various Methods to Identify, Select and Upload Caches to your GPS Unit |
4:00 - 4:50 pm |
Advanced GSAK and Introduction to Macros |
Bring your GPS units, laptops, and cables. It might also help if folks can bring some extension cords and power strips. We will have free WiFi at the library. It's not required, but you can speed up your class participation by installing GSAK prior to arrival at the library.
If you have a specific topic you would like me to cover, please include that in your Will Attend log. I will try to get to as many requests as I can.
Hope to see you there.
