This cache is part of the M.T. Promises series. Be sure to make a note of the clue contained on the log.
In late 2014, I came across a very worthwhile bunch of caches in the northwest Oquirrh Mountains. The hiking is easy, the scenery terrific and the caches generally creative and interesting. To bring some more attention to this area, I decided to place a member of the M.T. Promises series here. In fact, a mini-series-within-a-series. Including the three new additions, there are at least 17 caches to be found within a reasonable hiking distance. It's worth the drive!
I had originally planned Farpoint Station on one of the higher peaks above the area, but decided to keep it much lower and easier in order to leave time and energy for finding some of the other nearby caches. When you stand at Farpoint, note the towering Citadel Tor to the east. Quite impressive.
This is a field puzzle cache. To find it:
Visit Utopia Planitia to obtain the north coordinate.
Visit Memory Alpha to obtain the west coordinate.
As you search for the other caches, be sure not to miss Lacey K's Gold.
