Come along on Sunday April 26th 10.30-12.30 (part of the CITO weekend) and help protect this important location. We will be litter picking and selectively cutting back invasive plants to expose the archaeology of the site.
We will be hosted by Friends of the White Rock Copperworks, Keep Wales Tidy and Glamorgan and Gwent Archaeological Trust. Tools will be provided but please bring gardening gloves and shears/secateurs if you are able. Material we collect/cut will be collected from the car park.
The co-ordinates are for the parking area where we will meet for a briefing before splitting into teams to work around the site. You will have the chance to volunteer for which ever duties interest you most.
There are no toilets on site. The closest toilets are across the road in the enterprise park.
Sturdy footwear is recommended.
Children are welcome but be aware that we will be using sharp tools and picking litter (with tools provided). We will be near the river so children and animals should be supervised closely.
