Geocache Description:

Vuonna 1952 Joensuuhun avattiin Väestöliiton toimesta elokuvateatteri Aallotar. Elokuvateatterin nimi valittiin Väestöliiton järjestämän kilpailun kautta lähes viidensadan ehdotuksen joukosta.

Elokuvateatterin piirsi arkkitehti Markus Tavio, joka myös suunnitteli teatterin sisustuksen.

Teatterin katsomoon mahtui 359 katsojaa.

Aallotar toimi vuoteen 2005 saakka.

Kätkö sijaitsee varsinkin päiväsaikaan melko jästialttiilla paikalla, joten varovaisuutta vaaditaan.

Kätköltä näet entisen Aallottaren rakennuksen, mutta sisäänkäynti on merkitty karttaan välietapilla.

This cache introduces what used to be a movie theater called Aallotar. The cache is located rather public place with many muggles especially in day time so stealth is required.

From this cache you can see the building where Aallotar used to be but the reference point to the entrance is marked on the map.
