This micro is attached to a "geo-beacon" that's hard to miss. Once you see it, you'll know you're in the right spot. I think it will be easy to find all year round, day or night. In fact, it should be extra fun to find at night! Mid-summer adds about a half star to difficulty and terrain due to dense growth.
A rain garden is a shallow depression that's planted with deep-rooted native plants and grasses. It's positioned near a runoff source like a downspout, driveway, or sump pump to capture and filter rainwater runoff and stop it from reaching the sewer system. This particular rain garden is at the bottom of a slope off the parking lot for the Technology Innovation Center (TIC), and can capture 44,000 gallons of runoff after a rain.
Visitor parking for the TIC is available at the coordinates below. If you're staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, this will be a very short walk down the path that's located behind the hotel.
