Pier Troll Traditional Cache

NEEDS NEW OWNER...MOVED TO FLORIDA - Fishing pier at the Fox River in Oshkosh.  Sits among floating fishing shacks that are part of a by-gone era.  Nearby, a new bike/walking path being built with spans from an old railroad bridge. Beautiful view of the Fox River and the Ohio Street bridge.  Follow the bike/walking path over the bridge to cruise the UWO campus and grab a bite to eat or drink at one of the many establishments next to campus.

The fishing shacks on either side of the pier are all that is left of this once popular method of escaping the drudgeries of the spouse - I mean house.  Some are nice and some look like death traps.  The city has outlawed them but grandfathered these in as remnants of a colorful past.  The new bike/walking path being built is utilizing some steel railroad bridge spans to cross some water inlets.  Bring a camera.  The river is gorgeous and the shacks are full of character.  Pull into the parking lot from Ohio Street (right across from the Uhaul lot).  Go back as far as you can.  Park your car when you can see the pier and the fishing shacks.  It is a short walk to the pier.  The container is a red tupperware container with trinkets. If you take something hopefully you can leave something.  There are usually several people ( muggles ) around.    If you cannot locate the cache or the cache needs attention please make a note of that on geocaching.com and I will check up on it ASAP.
