D-Day Amphibious Cache Landing Event Cache

D Day is known for being the turning point for the Allied forces in World War II.  We will remember their sacrifice by gathering together on the lake. If you can't resist taking to the water to find terrain 5 caches on beautiful Lady Bird Lake there are plenty of opportunities nearby.   BYOK (Kayak) or rent one on site and we can explore the new boardwalk from below.

WHEN:  Saturday, June 6, 2015 10:00 am

WHERE: 20 N IH 35 Austin, TX  Behind the Holiday Inn (You can park and launch from below the highway.)

WARDROBE:  Sunscreen, hat, patriotic gear (flag shirts etc.)

If you're interested, there is a rental facility on site, which I can't mention specifically to comply with listing guidelines, but you can look it up or contact me directly if you have questions.  It might behoove you to reserve a craft.

The last time I tried these boardwalk caches, I drowned my GPS on the first one (and got to replace it- woohoo$$!) so you may want to throw yours in a Ziploc just in case.  Afterwards, we will adjourn for some fabulous barbeque!  (We are in Texas, after all.)
