Juniata Limpkin Traditional Geocache

104 miles long with a watershed covering 3,400 square miles, the Juniata is a scenic river enjoyed by many. It is home to catfish, smallmouth bass and several other game fish. Herons and other large birds can often be seen on the banks of the river.

Located on a popular stretch south of Newport, this cache can only be accessed by boat, kayak or tube. Do not attempt to approach by land.

Cache is located on private property. You will see "Posted" signs once you approach the land. Feel free to use the dock if one is present, but also respect the property. There should be no need to search too far from the edge of the river.

Be on the lookout for poison ivy in the area.

Once cache is located, please replace all parts back to the original hiding spot for the next adventurers.
