La réserve naturelle nationale de l'île du Girard (RNN61) est une réserve naturelle nationale située dans le département du Jura. Créée en 1982, elle s'étend sur 136 ha et protège une île du Doubs et ses milieux naturels fluviaux.
C’est l’intérêt et la richesse biologique du site reconnu par tous mais aussi l'abnégation et la force de persuasion de scientifiques locaux qui ont finalement permis à cette patiente quête de déboucher sur la création légitime d’une réserve naturelle nationale.
Vous allez parcourir ce sentier de découverte( sentier rouge) qui traverse la réserve du nord au sud sur une longueur de 2 kilomètres environ ► 3,5 Kms Aller-Retour ◄. Il démarre au parking sur lequel vous pourrez trouver deux panneaux d’information (un panneau avec un plan de la réserve et un panneau sur la faune).
Si vous voulez optimiser votre sortie, il est conseillé de venir le matin plutôt tôt ou fin de journée afin voir les animaux aux alentours s’exprimer.
NB : Notamment l’été, éviter les heures chaudes et prévoyez quand même un pantalon : vous jonchez sur une petite portion des orties.

La série est composée de neuf traditionnelles, sa bonus – pour cette dernière n’oubliez pas de collecter les indices, les informations plus précises sont disponibles sur la page concernée - et une EarthCache.
Vous cherchez principalement des PET, sauf mention contraire. La Bonus est une Small qui permet l’échange d’objets voyageurs. Prenez votre crayon. N’hésitez pas à consulter les hint et les spoilers si besoin.

The national nature reserve of the Island of Girard (RNN61) is a national nature reserve in the department of Jura. Founded in 1982, it covers 136 hectares and protects an island in the river Doubs and its natural environment.
It is the interest and the biodiversity of the site recognized by all but self-denial and local scientists persuasion that ultimately allowed this patient quest to lead to the creation of a legitimate national nature reserve.
You can browse this discovery trail ( red way ) through the reserve from north to south over a length of approximately 2 kilometers ► 3.5 Kms Return ◄. It starts at the car park where you can find two information panels (a panel with the contingency plan and a panel on wildlife).
If you want to optimize your output, it is advisable to come early or morning rather late in the day to see the animals around to speak.
Note: Especially in the summer, avoid the hottest hours and plan anyway pants: you follow on a small portion of nettles.
