Geocache Description:

Missed by many this 300m walk next to the Huon River at Franklin is well worth a look. Bring your lunch and enjoy a picnic at one of several tables located along the track. It's an excellent track maintained by Landcare Tasmania and funded by Huon Valley Council, NRM South and Bendigo Bank. In warmer weather keep am eye out for snakes.

Best to park 300 metres south of the waypoints on a grassy area next to the river or 100 metres further along at the Wooden Boat Centre. You may also enjoy visiting The 1880's St Johns Church Hall which now houses Frank's Cider and the Lady Jane Franklin Memorial Museum showcasing Franklin's history from the 1830s.

Enjoy the walk and enjoy finding the cache which is a Bison Tube. Please note that you do not need to leave the formed walkway to retrieve this cache and please bring a pen to write in the log book. Enjoy the walk, the scenery and finding the cache..
