This cache is in the Shaw Hill Marsh nature preserve. It is a part of 900 acres of marsh/prairieland just outside of the City of Beaver Dam. This area is monitored by the DNR and is designated as public hunting ground. This cache has been placed with the Geocache Placement Notification form on file with Paul Samerdyke, Wildlife Biologist for the Shaw Hill Marsh area.
This is a neat area with easy parking. It has a slight hill with a nice view. You will need to climb a bit of an incline/hill to get to the cache. However with proper footwear and clothing the find should be easy. Remember that in the height of summer the vegitation is high and the mosquitos are active. Look for the beautiful lone tree standing nearby.
