Locate Confederate graves with regiments listed upon them.
Back home in Arkansas, a friend of mine and I would go around graveyards and find old Confederate soldiers, noting their regiments and then look up to see what battles they were in.
Find a Confederate's marker and take a picture of it and your gps. Don't use battle markers that tell of a battle, this is for markers of men who fought for the Grey. Also only one regiment per entry. I will put some information as to what battles he would have fought in if you do not know.
You can tell the markers of Confederate soldiers that use markers from the government by the fact they come to a point at the top. This was to keep the dang Yankees from sitting on them! Private markers that tell of their wartime experiance for the south are welcome too!
