Geocachers picnic - Iona Jetty
When? Saturday august 29th at 12pm - 1:30pm
Where? Far end of the iona jetty 4km walk or bike EACH WAY 8km round trip
What? Picnic with a awesome view on what should hopefully be an awesome day
Please make sure you are able to travel 8 km on foot or bike as there is no vehicle access to the end of the jetty. all you need to bring is your lunch lots and lots of water for yourself and maybe a blanket. depending on the weather this may be a no dogs event as much as i love dogs dont want them to get sick from the heat. also bring sunscreen as there is absolutely no shade anywhere so you will bake in the beautiful BC sun. Please allow at least 1 hour to walk out to the END of the jetty 4 km from closest parking spot, we will be meeting at the end of the jetty not at the parking coords. Wheelchairs might be able to make it to the end although i really dont recommend it due to the length of it and it is gravel and not level.
