Welcome to the Francis C. Carter Memorial Preserve and Farwalker N'Fields' "By the Numbers" Series! Please check out the Carter Preserve web site with The Nature Conservancy. Look for the sweet snack of wild blueberries and blackberries when in season. We recommend the parking lot off of RT 112.
This cache is located just off the trail, no need to move any rocks. We hope you enjoy the hike. Should you decide to complete the whole series, it is about a 4.5 - 5 mile hike and will take around 4 hours. We recommend parking one car at the lot on RT 112 and another car at the parking lot located on Oil Mill Road. UPDATED 4/16/17: If you have been to Carter Preserve in the past, please be advised that the trail system has been recently updated. The Red Trail is now the Orange trail (Moraine Loop) ******** Congratulations and thank you to Going to Carolina for FTF on the first day!******* UPDATED 7/12/2020: Gypsy moths hit the area a couple years ago. Because of that, a lot the undergrowth has had a chance to grow and thrive. Please use caution, some of the trails could be narrow but still very use able. Please check for ticks after your hike.
