Geocache Description:

This geocache is on Raft River just out of Clearwater, BC. The site is of importance to the local Simpcw First Nation as a river that supports salmon. The salmon can be seen in the river in late August through October. The salmon are Chinook, Sockeye, and Coho.

Ct'swunetkwe is an important site to the Simpcw First Nation.  Ct'swunetkwe (Raft River) is a spawning area for Chinook, Sockeye, and Coho salmon which are a significant food source for the Simpcw.  The area that surrounds this geocache site would have been a summer camp area where fish were caught and prepared for the winter.  For more imformation on the Simpcw go to http://www.simpcw.com.

The cache is a camo lock n' lock.  It is off the Clearwater Village road.  There is parking and you use the trail at the end of the Raft River road.
