Geocache Description:

Multi-Cache located in a park in Arlington. First two stages are very geoferret friendly. Last stage is questionable.

" Tombstone "

DO NOT ENTER GRAVEYARD TO GET THE CACHE! There is no need to enter the graveyard to get to the cache.

This is a multi-cache all within one park, with very minimal walking. You must use the coordinates for this cache page to lead you to the 1st Stage. You will need to decrypt this stage to complete your Latitude coordinates. After finishing the 1st Stage, precede to the 2nd Stage coordinates written below. You will need to decrypt this clue to get your Longitude coordinates.

1st Stage: The cache page coordinates will take you to a Historical Marker along the sidewalk. You're looking for the coaches name:

The coach's name was: Easterling

The Latitude coordinates are: N32 43.

2nd Stage: The coodinates for the second stage are:

N32 43.716

W097 07.018

The coordinates for the second stage will take you to a spot along the fence line outside a graveyard, inside the park. Please do not enter the graveyard. From outside the fence look for a tombstone with McBride on it. Look for the child's name that lived from 1902-1904. Take the FIRST name of this individual and decrypt it to find the coodinates to the final cache:

The child's name was Dewey

The Longitude coordinates are: W097 07.

Use the following to decrypt the names:

A=5 B=2 C=0 D=7 E=9 F=3 G=6 I=2 J=7 K=6 L=2 M=7 N=3 O=4 P=5 Q=4 R=1 S=2 T=9 U=0 V=4 W=8 Y=3 Z=2

Find the Cache: To find the cache simply finish the Longitude and Latitude coordinates:

N32 43. (First Name of the Coach)

W097 07. (First Name of the Child)

Please note the final cache is located in the same park. If final coordinates take you more than 1/10th of a mile away - you did something wrong.

Parking may be a little more difficult during the week unless you want to pay meter parking. There are still places to park but you may have to walk a little. On the weekend there is parking right next to the cache and it is free on weekends according to the site page below. https://www.uta.edu/pats/parking/visitor-parking.php

Cache is Decon container size.
