Geocache Description:

A geocache not far from home, in an area that we felt should have one.
The kid's first hide.

This spot is just a short walk, has fantastic 360° views, and a circular stone maze laid out on the ground. The maze doesn't seem to have any forks in it so it isn't really that hard! Still, it's fun for the kids.
It is one of many great vantage points from which to look south at night to view and photograph Aurora Australis, as per the photo on the cover of the log book that was taken from this location a few days before it was placed. Make sure you take a torch if going at night though, and watch out for the swarms of mosquitoes if there's no wind!
You could always proceed directly to the cache coordinates but probably the easiest and most enjoyable way is to follow the mown paths to the maze near the top of the hill where you can enjoy the views, then pick your route to the cache.
