Geocache Description:

Historical Highway Sign along US 50 in Chase County, KS

The primary sign describes the Tall Grass Prairie that makes up the surrounding area and its importance to the area. The Tall Grass Prairie Reserve, part of the National Park Service is just a few miles to the west and north of this location. Be sure to visit it. (This sign also mentions the Notre Dame incident contained in another Virtual Cache in the area!)
The second small sign at this location, however, to the north of the main sign, contains the information you need to earn your Certificate of Achievemment. It is a sign for the Wheat Centennial (1874-1974) which designates this the ____ ___ Highway. Fill in these two words, in small letters, to earn your Certificate. Enjoy your visit to the area!
