Geocache Description:

Join us Sunday Morning on October 18th for our 3rd Adopt-A-Road CITO in 2015!

It seems that Geocaching Colorado's adopted road in Colorado Springs is in need of some attention again.  After some storms, wind, and lots of traffic - the county is calling on us again to come out and keep this area beautiful!

GCCO CITO TEAM

Meet at the listed coordinates by 10:45 and plan to stay till noon!

Our adopted road section is on Peterson Road and extends from Platte Blvd (Highway 24) to just beyond Galley Road.  We will be working both sides of the street again, and we plan on leaving the area very pretty for all of the young ghouls and goblins that will be out collecting candy at the end of the month! Below is a timeline of how the event will progress:

  • 10:30AM - Meet at the listed coords.  Sign waivers if you havent attended a CITO with us before, get entered into the gold coin drawing, and grab a safety vest and trash bags.

  • 10:45AM - Mike (of MikeAndJuli) will give a quick safety briefing and an overview of the area we will be working.  We will make sure every cacher has a safety vest and trash bags are distributed.

  • 11:00AM - Following the safety brief, we will all go out and get to cleaning up that road!

  • 12:00PM - Meet back at the listed coordinates.  We will take a group photo, give away the gold coin (possibly some other prizes), and make any other Geocaching related announcements

  • 12:15PM - Event is over!  Thanks for coming out, and further mingling will probably be occuring at the nearest Ice Cream Shop with GCCO President imyy4u2!

REMEMBER: As an incentive for geocachers from all around to come out and participate, we will be giving away another limited GOLD edition of the 2015 Geocaching Colorado Geocoin!  All you have to do to be entered in to the drawing is show up!
