I'm sure the epic failure of Target's launch into the Canadian market will be taught in business schools the world over for decades. I remember when I first walked into the Target on Fermor and was instantly underwhelmed. Canadians wanted the Super Target we have been to stateside but what they gave us was worse than the Zeller stores they replaced. High prices and terrible selection sealed their fate. It is as if Target didn't realize there was this little chain of stores called Walmart already here!
This cache is placed in the parking lot of what was supposed to be the flagship store in town. Unfortunately it was too little too late and Target Canada shut it's doors not long after it was built. I never had a chance to go in but now it sits empty. Hopefully this cache will last longer than the store. This would have been a tricky cache if the store survived but now it is just a 1 star without the need for stealth. I may have to change that if and when a new tenant moves in.
