Root for the home team - Sunset Park Series #1 Traditional Geocache

Part of a series at Sunset Park. This cache is in a play-doh container with camo tape. It includes a pencil and log and lots of tradable goodies. May not be able to be found during heavy snowfall. Be careful of mugglers. This is also a good one for a park and grab if you are in a hurry.

This cache was placed and created with a Garmin eTrex 20.

Sunset Park is a great park in a small town. Elkhorn is the County Seat, but it still has that small town feel and so does this park. This cache is placed near the baseball field where the highschool kids play throughout the season. Come and stay for a while to watch the game. 

Sunset Park also has a new pool (opened 2015) and new playground as well. There's plenty of fun for everyone. Friday nights there are concerts in the park at the badshell starting between 7 and 7:30 p.m. throughout the summer. There also a great fireworks display usually the Friday prior to the 4th of July at the park. 

Enjoy the festivities or just simply relax and have a picinic while watching the softball game. Sunset Park is a great place for the whole family. 

I had emailed the Parks and Rec department to ask if there was any paperwork which needed to be submitted for placing a cache in the park. My question was forwarded on to two others and the response I had received was from the Public Works Manager stating "This is not an activity that the city currently has a process for."
