Happy Earth Day! We’ll celebrate by helping to restore this valuable headwaters habitat. Wilkes Creek runs directly into the Columbia Slough, so caring for the creek directly affects the health and water quality in the Slough. During this volunteer activity, we’ll care for native plants by removing invasive species and spreading mulch around existing plantings. Join us!

This event runs rain or shine. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water, rain gear and sturdy shoes. Snacks, tools, training and gloves will be provided. This opportunity is open to volunteers 16 years and older, unless accompanied by an adult. Volunteers under 18 should contact the Council for a special youth waiver.

Contact: Hanna Davis Hanna.Davis@columbiaslough.org (503) 281-1132 for the Youth Waiver (Adult Waivers will be ready for you at the event).
