Geocache Description:

The Green County Barn Quilts project started in 2008, and by the end of 2010 the 100th barn quilt was installed. Barn quilts are painted wooden squares (designed like one block of a real quilt pattern), generally 8 x 8 feet in size. Some are located on "working" barns, and others are displayed on "retired" barns. It's not as challenging as geocaching, but hunting for the barn quilt locations is a true adventure in experiencing the roads less traveled of the Green County countryside.

The Zettle's purchased the farm in 1996. They have been using the barn for beef cattle. They decided this year it was either tear the barn down or fix it and put up a barn quilt. The quilt won!

Doug plants many sunflowers each year, hence this pattern. They wanted something bright! It was raised May 2011 and is #103, in time for their son's graduation party.
