Quilt Block #27 - Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam Traditional Geocache

The Quilt Block Series will be a series of 30 caches that are mostly on back roads in President Township.  Some of the roads are posted "No Winter Maintenance."  All of the hides should be quick finds and there are pull-offs close-by each cache.  There is not alot of traffic on these roads, but please be careful when caching with children.

SUNBONNET SUE and OVERALL SAM

Sunbonnet Sue and her partner Overall Sam are fun applique blocks.  Created sometime around 1911, they have been published in many women's homemaking magazines.  Neither Sue nor Sam ever have any facial features.

A popular way of using these two is in a "calendar" type of quilt.  In this type of quilt Sue and/or Sam are each shown dressed in clothing and doing an activity appropriate for each month of the year.
