The gift exchange is optional. For those who want to participate in this fun activity, please read the below instructions carefully. Any questions just ask.
We will gather at Haeg Park at 8301 Penn Ave. So., Bloomington first thing on Saturday morning. At this location we will exchange coordinates for hidden gifts at 9:00 am. You will go out and find your gift at the coordinates given, then at 11:00 am we will gather at Fuddruckers 3801 Minnesota Drive, Bloomington, MN to open the gifts you found and share our experience. This event will take some advance planning.
Step 1: For each person who wants to participate, purchase a $10 (approx.) gift and wrap it or camouflage it. The gift should be in some way related to geocaching and appropriate for all ages.
Step 2: Hide the gift in a location in or near Bloomington, Edina or Richfield . Take coordinates of the gift location. Identify the difficulty and terrain of the hiding location. Include parking coordinates if necessary.
Step 3: Bring the information from step 2 with you to Haeg Park at 8301 Penn Ave. So., Bloomington.
Step 4: The event coordinators will collect all the hidden gift locations and distribute them to the participants. We will do the gift exchange drawing promptly at 9:00 am.
Step 5: Go out and find the gift at the coordinates you receive. Do not open the gift at this time.
Step 6: Bring your gift to the the event at Fuddruckers (3801 Minnesota Drive). I have reserved space at Fuddruckers from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for anyone interested in getting together for lunch.
Step 7: Each person will open their gift and share what they got.
