The Official 2016 Leap Year!


At long last, it's time to meet up for the quadrennial leap year event at Taco Bell.

Ever since I started geocaching in 2004 (on a leap year), I have hosted this simple meet at the Bell on leap year day.
- We did it in 2008, when our tailgate dinner at the local Wally turned rainy, forcing our migration to the land flowing with burrito and taco.
- We did it in 2012, when as a college student, I finished classes and ran here to fill stomach and engage in geo-jabber.

The tradition continues in a newly redesigned location. The geo-crowd in the Chattanooga area has drastically changed with each leap, with some moving on, and some coming on board.

Shout-out to Grandpa Nick , who is the only geocacher who has attended both Leap Year events in '08 & '12!


This gathering will follow the same schedule as the past two, we will dine together at....Taco Bell! I will leap frog from work across the street to partake in socialization.

Nothing special or exciting is planned. No surprise appearances from a lackey. And no raffle for geocoins. Simply an excuse to meet, greet, and eat on the 29th of February.

This event will begin at 12 Noon and will conclude when I get done eating (which will probably be around 1ish).
