Geocache Description:

A very family friendly location and a nice spot to visit. However, parking could be a problem depending on what day and time you visit.

You may experience difficulty locking on to signals and get erratic readings on your GPSR. But don't let this deter you. You are looking for a place that historical records indicate to be Fort Worth's first park dedicated to public use. It is small and triangular in shape. It is bordered by a street and two buildings. One of the buildings is constructed in a very unusual shape for a building. This particular building is seven stories tall. It is adorned with panther heads above the second story. But you might ask about the importance of Cravens' kitty? Well, I'm sure you heard of Fort Worth being referred to as Cowtown; but, how about Panther City? Visit www.pantherfountain.com for a more detailed history about the park and the unusual nickname for Fort Worth. We hope that you enjoy this experience and that you might learn something from it.

In order to claim this as a virtual cache find, you need to e-mail us the correct answers to two questions. First, on the unusual shaped building's side which overlooks the park, how many panther heads are there above the second story? Secondly, what is the name of the architect for the reconstruction of this park?

You can log this find as a note until you get confirmation from us that the answers were correct. You can then change the note to a find. We reserve the right to delete your logged find if you do not e-mail us with the correct answers.

Congratulations to Waterlily for the FTF!!

There is some uneven pavement on the back side of the fountain be cautious.
