Geocache Description:

The Essex Way runs 81 miles from Epping to Harwich and passes through some beautiful countryside. This cache is the start of a series placed along the short section from Willingale to Good Easter, a distance of some 4.5 miles. Until January 2016 a trail of some 450 caches, all now sadly archived, was in place all the way from Epping to Harwich. This series is placed both in homage to that original series and because we think it's a lovely walk.

There are two roads to cross and some road walking near Good Easter (on a minor road). However, the route mostly follows footpaths, bridleways and green lanes and you will enjoy the peace of the countryside. Along the way you may sight deer and other wildllife. The going is generally good, although there may be muddy patches after rain, and the footpath is well maintained  As with all country walking, choose appropriate footwear and clothing for the season.

These Essex Way Reborn caches are hidden to be found, so you can enjoy the walk. If you find a wet/damp log or a missing container and carry spares we are happy for it to be replaced and will check on our next visit. You will know if a container is missing. N.B. This only applies to Essex Way Reborn caches owned by PeCeH..

Finally, we would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of Erz-n-Myn who originally placed this series all the way from Epping to Harwich and have given their blessing for us to resurrect this part of the trail. We are truly standing on the shoulders of giants! We hope that this short trail will continue to give pleasure to the geocaching community for years to come.
