Geocache Description:

Join us on Pi Day to kick off Geocaching Colorado's Third Annual Trackable Race!

While we haven't confirmed whether or not there will be a souvenir on Pi Day 2016, it would simply be IRRATIONAL not to join us on Pi Day!  Especially since this is the day we've chosen to kick off the 2016 Geocaching Colorado Trackable Race.

GCCO 2016 Trackable Race

Who: Open to all, With or without travelbugs, geocacher or muggle!
When: March 14th, 2016 (Pi Day), 5:30PM-7:30PM
Where: Carnegie Reading Room @ Penrose Library (downtown Colorado Springs)
Why: Start off the 3rd GCCO Trackable Race!  There will be plenty of trackables for discovery, and lots of TB Experts on hand to address any questions!

This is just one of many events around our state to kick off the latest TB Race by Geocaching Colorado.  You don't have to be participating in the race to attend.  There will be plenty of geocachers around for mingling, and there will plenty of trackables to discover!  There will also be plenty of Travelbug and Geocoin experts on hand to field any trackable-related questions!

**CHECK BACK RIGHT HERE FOR A DETAILED TIMELINE!**

While we don't have the detailed timeline ironed out just yet, here is what we know right now:

This IS a GCCO-Backed Event, so there will be a GOLD GCCO Geocoin given away to one lucky attendee near the end of the event.

For THIS event, there will also be a 1-year Premium Membership to Geocaching.com given away!  We plan on having other goodies, too - but you can't win if you don't show up!

RACE DETAILS:

We will be using a simpler system of tracking the bugs this year (last year's sytem got unwieldy with the sheer number of bugs involved).  The new system will only update once every 24 hours, but it will automatically arrange the bugs in order of mileage!

To enter a bug into the race, bring it to this or any GCCO TB Race event and drop it off at the Starting Table.  There will be a sheet to write down the bug's info (TBxxxx number OR tracking number).   These sheets will be used to compile the racers onto our tracking site - if your racer isnt on this sheet, then it will not be added!

Stay tuned to this event page for further updates as more details are ironed out!
