Find a 'needle' structure that was built specifically to create a landmark and to provide a scenic view. It needs to be a structure following the classic 'Seattle Space Needle' design. That is, the structure is very tall, proportionally very thin and supports only an observation platform and maybe a bar/resturant.
Some early needle type monuments may be listed if they have an observation level at the top and were built to provide for a vista. To get credit for the find:
Post the location of the structure along with a picture (with gps) and a description of the structure.Rules of the Cache:- Only one find per needle.
- Multiple needle finds per Geocacher OK
We are starting it off with the Pearl Tower (Needle) in Shanghai. It is located in Pudung across the river from the Bund. It towers above all other structures in a city that specializes in tall buildings (see night photo) and of course provides a view of the Bund and old Shanghai.
