Geocache Description:

The convict trail at South Arm opened in December 2013 and retells the life stories of the convicts who worked off their sentences on the peninsula with some later settling in the area.

While walking the gravel trail take in the history, the fantastic views of Storm Bay across to Bruny Island and Hobart City.

This cache is one of many we have placed along this trail.

The South Arm Convict Trail is 4.5 km. If you wish to walk, cycle or exercise the dog you can amble along from South Arm to Opossum Bay. Please allow one hour or two hours return. If doing the full walk, please be aware the trail crosses the road near Bezzants Road - S43 00.772 E147 24.846 and continues on.

If you wish to park and grab, the caches are on the trail, just choose a safe spot to pull off and park nearby.
