Geocache Description:

Okay, so I guess you've looked at the map and I know what you're thinking - 'Who is this Funk to Funky character and why has he done a route that is all multi's for flips sake?!?' Well, if you're still reading I shall tell you. smiley

Whilst I enjoy 'head down, pick up caches' walks as much as the next cacher I thought I would try something a little different and see how it goes.

I've never seen a route that is solely multi's so I thought that was a good place to start to give you something else to think about/work on as you head round this pleasant and enjoyable 7 mile walk which has some just great views. There are 14 multi caches on this route and a final bonus and all caches are en-route.

I've not made the multi 'clue-finding' part hard, as that wasn't the point (although some cache hides are harder than others as usual), and you will pick a clue or two up at each posted co-ordinate (ie each posted cache on the map) to lead you to the actual cache. Same as you do any other multi. The clues will be an observation of something at the published co-ords so you don't need to hunt for anything there which means nothing should go missing when it comes to finding the clues. Just keep a note of the clues as you go along as you may need them all as you progress through the walk and for the bonus.

Just bear in mind that there are two decent uphill sections to this walk, and, together with the small amount of extra time you will need to solve the multi clues as you go along, this walk might take a little longer than normal. Although the walk is on established footpaths it can get wet underfoot or slippery, same as any footpath, so decent footwear is recommended, as is a decent map (I prefer 1:25000 Ordnance Survey but that's entirely up to you of course).

I have marked all the caches on the whole route as a terrain 2.5 as I am assuming you are doing the whole thing in one walk and this is about the average, but the difficulty rating is for the individual cache with nothing less than 2 to account for it being a multi. Oh, and don't assume the actual cache is always before where the next multi starts! But as mentioned above, all of the caches are en-route.

And that's about it! Simple really!

Parking is available at the church car parking area, right next to the church, which is where the above co-ords take you.

So, let's begin. At the posted co-ords you will see a village community notice board with writing at the top. Looking at the first two words only (because I'm of reasonable height and I couldn't really see the bottom two), how many letters in the first word? That's A. And how many letters in the second word? That's B

This first cache is an easy magnetic micro to start you off at N51 47.B6A W002 44.1(A-B)3

Have fun!
