If you would like to visit the park this cache was originally located in here are the coordinates N 40 44.847 W 111 50.68. To get to the new cache sight take the road up Big Cottonwood Canyon and park here N 40 38.963 W 111 38.880.
The theme for this cache has not changed, but the location has. For those of you who are not familiar with this cache, the theme is memories. We ask that everyone please bring a photo with them and write down what the photo means to you. Please don’t remove any pictures from the cache. We decided to move the cache to a completely different location. This new spot has many different memories for me. I’ve been visiting this spot yearly since 1993, and it offers not only an excellent hike, but if you’re a backpacker like myself, an excellent chance for an overnighter. I would highly recommend everyone take their backpacking equipment and stay the night, but it’s not necessary as the hike can be completed in a day. If you do decide to camp please use the campsites that are already made. An excellent spot is located here N 40 39.553 W 111 36.058. For all you day hikers please stay on the trail and bring plenty of water. We did the hike this weekend and it took approximately three hours to get to the cache site. We were however carrying all our gear to stay the night, so if your not carrying any gear it should only take about two hours. There is a lake and a stream to refill your water bottles, just be sure to bring something to purify the water. We left the cache exactly the way it was when we retrieved it from the park, except we took the old camera to get it developed and put a new one into the cache. Again we ask that you don’t remove the camera, just take a picture of your group and log the exposure number. We will also be placing the pictures from the old cache sight into the cache in the coming weeks. Hope you enjoy the hike!
