2019 WGA Spring Campout
May 17-19th 2019
Governor Thompson State Park

Your Wisconsin Geocaching Association is proud to host the annual WGA spring campout. This year it will be located at Governor Thompson State Park. This park was established in 2000, the Wisconsin State Park System's centennial year. With more than 2,800 acres of woods, a family campground, picnic area on Woods Lake, 16 miles of hiking trails and six miles of shoreline on the Caldron Falls Flowage, two additional lakes, and fishing, visitors will find an atmosphere that is perfect for solitude, reflection and recreation.
Make sure you put this cache on your watchlist, as there will invariably be updates for the event.

Camping
Although camping is not required, to get the full Geo-campout experience you need to sleep outdoors in the park. If you need to make a campsite reservation, head over to Wisconsin’s state park reservation site. Due to the fact that Governor Thompson State Park has no Group campsites at the park, we will not be offering the usual group campsite option. If you are seeking other accommodations, check out the Village of Crivitz website.
Name tags
As a WGA member, if you want a laminated name badge, head over to the forums and get your name on the list. If you’re not a member, don’t worry, you can sign up for free at www.wi-geocaching.com.
New Geocoin
The new geocoin will be unveiled and sold at this event. They are limited edition, once they are gone, they are gone, so buy them while you can.
Lunch Potluck
In addition to having the grills open, for grilling your own meat, on Saturday for lunch and dinner, we typically have a potluck as well. Using the first letter of your last name please bring the following items:
Last name A-H: salad, vegetable or fruit
Last name I-P: chips or snacks
Last name Q-Z: cookies or dessert
We will also be selling Hot Dogs, $1 each, you cook, purchase at merchandise table, while supplies last
Pancake Breakfast
The WGA will once again be hosting a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning. However due to stacking rules by GroundSpeak, we cannot create another event. Please indicate on your “will attend” if you will be attending the breakfast as well, to ensure we have enough caching fuel for everyone.
Breakfast cost: $5 per adult (13 years and older), $3 per child (6-12 years old), free to kids under 6 years of age. Note that geocachers may attend and participate in the social activities for free but, they will not get anything to eat.
Breakfast includes:
Pancakes…. Lots of them.
Breakfast sausage (a reasonable limit will be placed on to control costs).
Beverage of your choice, including coffee, tea, hot cocoa, orange juice and milk.
Fresh fruit such as bananas and oranges.
