Geocache Description:

Expect typical Scottish island weather (wind, mist, rain, snow, occasional ray of sun, etc. Terrain ranges include sheep grass hummocks, deer trails (both dry and slick), basalt outcrops, scree, boulder fields, and upland streams, patches of snow. It's a good hike with lots of uphill, and expect part of it to be wet!! Altitude at cache is about 960 meters.

The cache isn't really hidden. It is built into the cairn at the lower summit of Ben More. The cache is a refrigerator tub with a good snap-on lid we hope will stay waterproof. There are logbooks, writing implements, an electric yoyo, and a Red Steagall CD from Texas, also a New Jersey quarter dollar piece from my niece Callie in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
Take plenty of water and a good snack and some energy food as this is a strenuous hike. Plan for the climb, not the cache.
We parked at Ardvergnish across the loch from Pennyghael and the famous Kinloch Hotel and climbed the southern face of the munro without crossing any fences. Watch for deer and eagles!!
Be safe!! and Be smart!! and Respect the Residents!

!!!IMPORTANT!!! So long as foot and mouth precautions are in effect do more than is required. Disinfect your footwear and walking sticks before beginning the climb, and disinfect again after the descent.
