The cache is not at the published coordinates. You are looking for a bison tube that is not on ground level.
Sam the adventurer owns a treasure map that shows two treasures on it. The first, a chest of gold, is described as being at point [70, 537]. The second, the deeds to his favourite inn, is desribed as being at point [370, 162]. Sam had figured out that these measurements were in miles, measured from what appeared to him as an arbitrary origin. However, Sam is not interested in either of these treasures. What he wants is a third treasure that isn't on the map. Sam wants to find the most valuable treasure of all: the fabled geocache.
He braved an ancient tomb, rigged with deadly traps, in the hope of finding its whereabouts. However, the only clues he found were:
1. The cache is 520 miles away from the chest of gold.
2. The cache is 215 miles away from the deeds to Sam's favourite inn.
3. Both the X and Y components of the position of the cache are integers.
At what position will Sam find the cache?
Treat the area as a flat plane; ignore the curvature of Earth.
The real coordinates for the real cache are:
N 54° 17.*** W 000° 25.***
Use the X component of Sam's cache to fill in the missing digits of the northings and the Y component to fill in the westings, including leading zeroes if necessary.
