Geocache Description:

Located in Eden Valley Refuge in Southern Jackson County

This first cache in Jackson County is about 3 km south of Baldwin, 5 km SW of Nashville, or about 12 km north of Lost Nation.

Park at the nature center, located at approx N42 2.794,W90 51.299. There is a pop machine and restroom there, and the nature center is open Saturday afternoons 1-4PM May-Oct. You can see live turtles, information about local animals and a nice collection of rocks and other displays. Maintained by the Clinton County Conservation Board (even though it's in Jackson) Eden Valley Refuge features trails on both sides of Bear Creek. This is the shorter of the two trail systems, so be sure to finish the trail after finding the cache. The other one features a very cool swinging bridge and watchtower. There is a campground (26 electric sites) and the fee is only $11, $7 for primitive.

To the north of the nature center is a 1.5 km loop trail, the cache is on that trail. It starts out as a wide gravel path. There are several informational signs about the various types of trees and plants along the path. You will also see huge outcroppings of limestone and even numerous sinkholes near the cache.

The cache is a one liter circular Rubbermaid container, located approx 10 meters off the path.
