members of Quantrills Guerillas. James-Younger Gang carried out
stagecoach robberies with elaborate escape routes and knew the
area, the lawmen and the communities. The Missouri southern
sympathizers regularly sheltered them from the long arm of the law
beause of their affiliation with Quantrills Guerillas.
