Geocache Description:

At the end of the Scout Lake road. A little climbing involved but it's easy (we had a crew of children with us).

GPS coords were captured with an older (5 yrs) Trimble Scout and have been converted (via eTrex Vista) from NAD27 to WGS84.

The cache is probably locatable without a GPS by a person willing to do some legwork. It is planted near a distinctive local landmark.

The container is a 500ml clear plastic peanut butter jar with a green lid. Hopefully it can survive being opened in subzero temperatures. Anybody who sets out to find this cache in the winter should bring a pencil - the little girl who's contribution to the cache was to be a pencil decided at the last minute that she really didn't want to part with it. :)

Update:

I've been told the road was washed about 5km before the cache site at the beginning of June and is impassable to vehicles. Mountain bikes, 4 wheelers, etc. should be still be okay with a little work.
